Skywatch Friday

Here is my first entry for Skywatch Friday. Been meaning to participate for awhile now.
This photo was captured somewhere around Conway, NH. We were heading back to Lake Winnipesaukee after spending a day at Storyland. I stopped to take a picture of the mountains in the distance and saw how the sun was lighting up the clouds. I thought it was a perfect opportunity to capture a photo for Skywatch Friday.

Ruggles Mine
Spent the morning at Ruggles Mine in Grafton, NH http://www.rugglesmine.com/. Ruggles Mine is found on the top of Isinglass Mountain. According to the mines website ...
Over 150 minerals are found here including beryl, mica, amethyst, rose and smokey quartz, garnet, etc. Its uranium minerals such as gummite and autunite are prized by collectors and museums the world over.
Being poorly prepared to visit this mine we arrived without any buckets, saftey gear or hammers to chip away at the rocks to look for minerals. I was able to buy a bucket at the gift shop and Ashley gathered a bucket full of rocks. Anybody want to buy a bucket of rocks? All wasn't a waste though, the kids had fun and I got to capture some unique photo's.
Story Land
Spent the day at Story Land yesterday. Pictured above is Ashley sitting on a tuffett, only thing missing was her curds and whey. Ashley had a blast which is good because I was afraid she may be a little too old for it. She was the perfect height where she can go on all the rides by herself if desired. We found that Marc is a still to young for most activities here. Though he did get to go on some things such as the carousel pictured below.
