Gazebo at Sholan Farms

sholan_farm_gazeboWent to Sholan farms today. From their website I see that their property contains 160 acres of land. They have a trail system that goes into the surrounding Fallbrook area as well as the Monoosnoc Trail. I was hoping to spot some of the deer, coyotes, rabbits, bluebirds, or bobolinks the area is said to contain. About the only animals I came across was a robin and a couple of dogs someone was walking. In any event, I was able to capture some photos.

  1. If you want to capture wildlife all you need to do is come to North Western NJ. So far I’ve hit a rabbit, an owl (flew into my windsheild) and a racoon. I have seen and almost hit plenty of deer (they come right out to the roads and cross in front of you at any given time), and quite a few fox and wild turkeys. I used to see peacocks, but I think they must have belonged to someone.

There’s plenty of wildlife to be seen here, not like I’m used to in Fitchburg and Leominster.
