  2. Regretably this is a case where B&W increases the sense of dereliction and depression. But it makes the point more strongly than colour.

  3. It reminds me some Stephen King’s books, those where children are left to their own devices. Just as you explain it. As long as there’re only children !
    The B&W shot makes it looks like a jail, with those bars at the windows.
