Just Because

Went to a musical last night so it did not leave me with time to take pictures so I'll share this one that doesn't have a lot to do with my city.
Over the weekend I bought my wife some flowers. Once upon a time this was at least a monthly ritual. Why did this ritual stop? I don't have any reasons or excuses except maybe life's fast pace. Even that is not a good reason for I find time to do the things I like.
My wife's first reaction to these flowers was joy. A big smile across or face wondering why I bought her flowers out of the blue. Then the question she had is ' what do you want' and 'what did you do'. Fifteen to twenty years ago when I was buying flowers on at least a monthly occurrence I never heard these questions. It's easy to forget the small things in life.
So why did I buy my wife flowers?
Because my wife gave up her career to be a stay at home mom (The hardest job in the world).
Because she wakes up early and goes to bed late, not stopping all day.
Because I never have to worry about stuff at home regardless if she is sick or not.
Because we've been through it all and she stays strong.
Because I don't say thank you enough or that I appreciate the things that she does.
So Michelle if you happen to read this and you are still wondering why I bought you flowers...

Wow… that was really sweet. I ventured onto your page for the great shot of the rose – and I stepped into a love story!
Thanks for sharing – I love the detail (in the flower) =)
