My husband and I also celebrated our twentieth anniversary this past year and we also went through years of infertility treatment, three miscarriages and cancer before our surprise baby showed up after thirteen years. He is now eight years old and his adopted brother is three and has been in our family for a year. The things that a person learns while waiting for children is bittersweet but oh, so valuable. Nothing in life is taken for granted in our house and we thank our lucky stars every day. You have much to be proud of. By the way, your photos of Leominster (where my sister lives) are lovely.
